Pun intended...I do not think it's possible for my belly to stretch anymore. The boys are over 5 lbs each, I'm at 34 weeks and so happy to have made it this far. But it's clear that the end is designed to make mom ready to give birth and to get over any fears! All I want is to be comfortable again! Don't get me wrong - having suffered through infertility, I am SO happy and feel SO lucky to be having two babies. But I can still complain a little...that's what blogging is for after all (?)
Here are some things they don't tell you about being pregnant with twins:
You'll have as much "baby"as a woman with one has ( in the last minute before birth) when you are 8 months pregnant. That means almost two months of serious discomfort.
I can hardly walk anymore. My back kills. I can't eat b/c of the acid reflux. Seriously - I eat my last meal at 5 and pray it doesn't come back up when I go to bed at midnight. And notice I said go to bed - not go to sleep. That's right, sleep - I remember sleep. Sort of. Now sleep means 40 minutes at a time maybe with an excruciating pain when my squished bladder thinks it's full...
Sorry, there's the venting. By 7 p.m. I am usually crying when I move...and I do nothing all day long!
Anyway, being pregnant with twins is definitely different than being pregnant with one. My poor husband thinks all pregnancies are this hard - they aren't!
I feel like I have let myself go entirely - and really I have...Top ten things I will do when I am no longer pregnant:
10. Dry legs when I get out of the shower
9. pedicure
8. shave legs
7. touch toes
6. walk
5. drive
4. shop
3. sleep
2. eat
1. BIKINI WAX
